you don't spend enough time with your child.
 you have a lackadaisical out look on the situation at times, viewing from the out side looking in.
 you call for help, get it then bush it off, set it t the side, until you really need it. When  you neeed it next time it will not be here.
 I think the atrocious part about it is that's not your real attitude or, did you mold your self into this roll?
